Vector Biyoteknoloji founded in 2019 by a team of two young entrepreneurs; Ergün Yağmurkaya, a senior economy student, and Rıdvan ÇAKÇİ, a fresh graduate of molecular biology and genetics at the time.
Trained and practiced in international project management and social entrepreneurship, the team founded the company upon a fund granted from TÜBİTAK, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Another fund was granted by another national institution, KOSGEB - Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization in 2021 and accelerated the growth.
In June 2022, the microbiology laboratory has been established. Comprehensive courses with practice are offered for Undergraduate and MA students in the field.
The start-up is now focused on patenting its market-ready solutions and located in Başkent University BiyoTek - Technology Development Center.
